We’re going back to the start, to the place of origin, and it’s there we find God’s answer to the brokenness of humanity – a totally unexpected and seemingly weak rescue plan that provides all the inspiration we could hope for.
Filled with drama, beauty, and tension, the story of Abraham provides a window into God’s heart and a mirror that reflects our own. There’s never been a more important time to explore both.
Join us Sundays (8a, 9:30a + 11a) for a series in Genesis.

House Groups typically meet in homes two to three times a month across St. Pete, where we spend time together, often sharing food, discussing the Scriptures, praying, and looking for opportunities to serve one another and the city.
If you’re not a part of House Group, this is a great time to visit one. Click HERE to see a list of groups, when they meet, and where they are located.
Casa de Esperanza serves the people of Bolivia by providing loving, Jesus-focused education and residential care to orphans. For children who desire to attend college, Casa de Esperanza offers what they call “Phase 2” – housing and care in the city of La Paz as students from Casa attend the university. They also train local pastors through a Christian Education Center.
Join us July 10-21, 2026 in Caranavi, Bolivia for an opportunity to see and serve in the work of Casa de Esperanza! We will spend a couple of days at Casa de Esperanza with the children and then go help in the construction of the new orphanage in El Beni.
Cost of the trip is $1800 per person, yellow fever shots is required. Team size will be a maximum of 12. For more information and to register, click HERE.

Where does your inspiration to press forward in faith and obedience to God come from? When the odds are stacked against you, when hope seems lost, when you have no idea how God will make a way? It’s against the dark backdrop of Genesis chapters 3-11 that God calls Abraham to leave what he knows behind and to hold onto divine promises.
With all the drama, beauty and tension you can imagine, the story of Abraham is a window into God’s heart and a mirror that reflects our own. There’s never been a more important time to explore both.
Join us Sunday August 20th as we begin a new series in the book of Genesis.

On Sunday we had the opportunity to hear from Mike & Brittany Von Arx, Local Church’s ambassadors for Next STEPP Center—our community’s only gospel-centered medical pregnancy resource center serving women and men experiencing unintended pregnancy.
They shared about Gather for Life, a worship celebration hosted by Next STEPP taking place on Saturday, June 20th from 4–6p.
If you have a heart to serve with this ministry, head to Local Missions in the Church Center app, or visit Next STEPP’s website directly.

After moving back to Florida two years ago, Garret became involved in a CrossFit community and a group of friends setting up a bible study after sessions called Full Armor. When he was asked to serve as Chaplain of the group he questioned his qualifications, his knowledge of the bible and public speaking abilities. Despite these thoughts, he agreed to the role and felt peace knowing it would get him out of his comfort zone, push him in his walk and that God would help strengthen him where he needed it.
Through Full Armor gatherings and time in the gym, Garrett and Samuel got to know each other better, leading to Samuel attending Local Church St. Pete and joining a house group.
God used the timing of the start of Full Armor to meet Samuel when he needed Jesus the most. Samuel grew up in a family of pastors but walked away from the Lord, filling the emptiness he felt with the activities, substances and entertainment of this world that promise fulfillment but don’t deliver.
In August, Samuel woke up in the middle of the night having an anxiety attack. Crying and struggling to breath, he knew Jesus was the remedy he needed but didn’t know how to come back. A few days later he saw a social media post about Full Armor and new God was drawing him back. Through Full Armor, Samuel has become reacquainted with his true identity – a child of God. Samuel was baptized in April and continues to have a hunger for God’s word and a desire to share his love with others who need it.
“God has placed each of us in communities where we are called to be faithful and share his love. We can have confidence that he is with us in those moments and will speak life to others, and you never know the impact you will have on someone’s life… It has been humbling for me to see how God can work when we take a step out in faith, not knowing where it will lead, but trusting God will use it to accomplish his purposes.” – Garret Antolik
