Our quarterly Men’s Discipleship Meeting is Saturday, May 10th @ 9AM.
We will gather at the building to hear a brief talk from scripture and then split into groups to discuss, pray and connect with other men on a deeper level.
It’s also a great space to find others who are interested in forming an ongoing Discipleship Group (smaller groups of 2-4 that meet throughout the month).
If you plan to attend, REGISTER HERE.
Where do you find the strength to endure? Where do you look when external pressure or opposition begin to wear you out? When internal fears or cynicism seem to have the loudest voice?
The book of Hebrews, originally written to followers of Jesus tempted to shrink back, invites us to look to the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus once again – or maybe for the first time. With great care and timeless encouragement we’re invited to see Jesus for who he really is and find in him the empowerment we need to endure.
Join us this Sunday as we continue “Looking to Jesus” – a series in the book of Hebrews. Listen to the latest Talk in this series on our podcast HERE.
If you’re engaged or want to explore the possibility of marriage with your partner, make plans to participate in our upcoming Pre-Marriage Class. This will be a series of five sessions designed to help couples learn more about Christ-centered marriage and more about each other in order to build strong foundations for their future together.
Meetings will be held on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm from April 24th through May 22nd, and each couple will be paired with a mentor couple for encouragement.
This class is a requirement for those desiring to be married by a Local Church St. Pete pastor. More information and registration is available on the Church Center App. Registration will close on Wednesday, April 16th.

Easter Sunday | April 20th
Join us on Sunday, April 20th as we explore the story of Jesus’ resurrection, a story of assurance and love that meets us right where we are. The last two chapters of Matthew hold it up as a testimony to what Jesus accomplished and an invitation to believe what he promised.
Whether this story of Jesus is brand new to you or you’ve been walking in ways for years – we would love for you to be our guest!
Gathering // 8a + 9:30a + 11a
We will gather on April 18th from 7-8p to reflect on the death of Jesus through song, prayer and communion.
Childcare provided: Nursery through Age 3
We want to encourage you to STOP, READ and REFLECT 3 times throughout the day on your own. Then we’ll gather together as a community in the evening.
At 9AM (on own) Stop whatever you’re doing on Friday at 9AM (about the time Jesus was crucified) and read Matthew 27:11-54. The irony of this passage is that if Jesus had “come down from the cross” if he “saved himself” he would not have accomplished a way to be saved for those mocking him (or for us).
At NOON (on own) Take a moment and pause to think about the weightiness of what Jesus endured for you and me by reading Luke 23:44-55. It was around noon time when darkness fell across the land as Jesus hung on the cross. He hung on the cross in utter darkness under the weight of our sin.
At 3PM (on own) Stop and read Mark 15:33-39 + Psalm 22. Reflect on the very Psalm that was most likely on Jesus’ mind as he took his last breath. Take a few minutes and express your gratitude for the “finished work” of Jesus – his death in your place as a penalty for your sins, where he received the punishment you deserve.
The ancient book of Proverbs begins with a poetic description of wisdom as a woman crying out in a noisy street. Her voice echoes through time, cuts through all the noise, and reaches us with an invitation to walk in her ways. Filled with life, protection and guidance – the way of wisdom is ours to treasure and follow.
Join us for this new series in the book of Proverbs.

On Sunday, March 10th at 8a, 9:30a + 11a, we will have a special time to dedicate children to the Lord and affirm the commitment of their parents to the discipleship of their children with the prayers and support of this community. We’ll also celebrate the arrival of new littles ones. Reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
As disciples of Jesus were given the responsibility and privilege to make disciples. But if we’re honest, this can feel confusing, intimidating and sometimes more like a burden than a joyful calling. One expression of disciple making is to walk with someone “ONE to ONE” through part of the Bible. But where do you begin? What is the goal? What if you don’t know all the answers to their questions?
Make plans to attend an upcoming Sunday PM Class called ONE to ONE Bible Reading on February 18th from 5-6:30pm. These are just a few of the questions we’ll discuss. Daryn will be walking through a passage of scripture in real time, breaking down what it might look like to do the same with someone else.

We had the privilege of hearing a Local Story from David Reid about how God can use ordinary people, doing ordinary things, to do the extraordinary. David and some friends have created discipleship opportunities out of something they were already doing.
David shared that he and his friends love ultimate frisbee and started playing every Sunday afternoon. “It became part of our Sabbath routine, all our kids collecting bugs, building forts, laughing together – while we played our favorite game in the sunshine, enjoying His creation.”
It dawned on them that Jesus could use this time for more. “We realized that through frisbee, the Lord had put people in our lives who would never set foot in a church, or in a Bible study – people who were lost and wanted something more than the world could offer.”
They started looking for opportunities to share the gospel, to listen to people’s stories, and to love those around them. They began meeting at 6am every week to walk the field and call out to God, asking him to draw people to himself and for opportunities to be used.
David shared several examples of what this can look like week to week: “making disciples doesn’t have a formula, it requires intentionality, and a moment-to-moment awareness of where the Spirit is working. Sometimes it looks like sharing my testimony with someone I’ll probably never see again. Sometimes it means subbing out even when I’m not tired, to get a little extra time on the sideline with a guy I’m connecting with. Sometimes it means listening to the story of a guy who had to drop out of college and feels lost, stuck, directionless. And sometimes it looks like pitching in to buy groceries for a girl whose car was stolen.”
David ended with a verse from 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” He asked us to consider what we are already doing to see where God may work: “what are the things you already love, that God wants to use to make himself famous, here and now? What are the ways he’s gifted you and what are some practical steps you can take to be intentional in the ordinary things of life?”

We’re all seekers. We all live for something and set our hearts and minds somewhere. When we do that, it reveals what we value most. Jesus teaches us to be excessively preoccupied with The Kingdom of Heaven and to value it more than anything else in this life; to be so captivated by it that it brings everything and everyone into its proper perspective.
In this series, we’ll explore The Kingdom of Heaven – what it is, why it’s so valuable and what happens when we pursue it the way Jesus taught.
