Love. Hospitality. Community.

Love, hospitality and community are things we all value and need. All are welcome!

LOCAL Youth

LOCAL Youth come together to be empowered by the love of Jesus. We have a vision of students encountering real community with each other and their leaders. We want our students to learn from an early age what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus.

When do LOCAL Youth meet? The first + third Tuesday night of every month of every month (Middle and High School 6:30-8PM). We’ll share a meal together, hear a short talk on a passage of Scripture or topic relevant to your life and break up into Middle and High School discussion groups.

Simple + focused

We want to evaluate everything we do on the basis of whether or not it helps or hinders us from being disciples who make disciples. As a result, we have a very focused and simple philosophy of ministry. There will be a lot ministry and activity happening in and through our church, but it should all flow from a lifestyle of being disciples who make disciples.

We are called out and sent in (1 Peter 2:9-10). We are called out of darkness, sin and shame through the power of Jesus, and this humbles us. We express this humility in our corporate worship gatherings and everyday lives. But that’s not all – we’re sent back into the world and culture to live lives that reflect the transforming work of Jesus in us. We’re sent into the school, workplace, neighborhoods we live in, to live intentional lives on mission for Jesus. You might meet with friends for coffee, serve those in need, do one-on-one Bible reading with someone, participate in a discipleship group, host a neighborhood dinner and much more – none of which might be officially planned by the leadership teams of Local Church St. Pete. It’s ministry that happens as part of a lifestyle of being disciples who make disciples.

House Groups

Our groups typically meet in homes three times a month across St. Pete, where we spend time together often sharing food, discussing the Scriptures, praying, and looking for opportunities to serve one another and the city. The groups consist of around ten to twenty people. Our hope is that the relationships that form in House Groups will grow far beyond the actual meeting and spill over into the rhythms of life.

How do you join a House Group? Find one close to you, email or call group leaders to let them know you’re interested in coming out to visit the group and expect a timely response. Learn more HERE.
